Step One
Each player is dealt two cards, one face-up and the other face-down.
Step Two
Depending on which rules the table is playing by, either the player with the lowest face-up card will be forced to make a wager of a certain amount, or the player with the highest face-up card is given the option of betting first. In the event that two players have the same value face-up card, the option to bet first goes to the first of them clockwise to the dealer.
Step Three
Following this first round, each player left in the game is dealt another face-up card.
Step Four
Following this first round, each player left in the game is dealt another face-up card.
Step Five
Remaining players continue to be dealt one face-up card after each round of betting, until each player has reached the maximum of four face-up cards. Once each player has four face-up cards, a final round of betting takes place, and those still standing are asked to turn over their face-down card to reveal their hand.
Step Six
As in Texas Hold’em and other forms of poker, the highest five-card poker hand is the winner.
